Australian TV production impresario Reg Grundy has died in at his home in Bermuda. He was aged 92. New Zealand TV production entrepreneur John Barnett said that Grundy’s firm had made many TV soaps both in Australia and Europe, and put the region’s Tv industry on the international map. In this country the company Grundy created was one of the foundation investors in Shortland Street. The Australian Nine Network reported:
“At 11.30 Australian media mogul Reg Grundy has died at his home in Bermuda, aged 92. Grundy founded one of Australia’s first entertainment groups. He was known for producing shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Blankety Blanks. His wife Joy Chambers was by his side when he died,” a spokeswoman said.
